The M² USAF Pant Materials include the Following:

• Outer Shell: TenCate FLEX 7TM - 6.90 oz./yd2 Natural
• Thermal Liner: TenCate Titanium® SL2i
• Moisture Barrier: GORE® CROSSTECH® Black 2-Layer Type 3A

Standard Features of the Pant Include:

• Zipper In / Hook and Loop out closure
• Nomex Belt and Belt Loops
• Two 10" x 10" x 2" full bellow pockets reinforced with Kevlar®
• Panels between the legs create dynamic balance for increased movement, protection, and comfort. 
• Arashield™ reinforced knees with closed sell foam padding built into the liner to reduce water absorption and increase protection. 
• Bootcut hems reinforced with self-material and optional Arashield™ upgrade for increased protection and longevity. 
• NFPA trim pattern in 3" lime/yellow segmented Comfort Trim
• H-Back Parachute style Suspenders, padded with leather ends

Additional Options for the Pant Include: 

• Replaceable or sewn-on black Arashield® knees with optional search pockets
• Search Pockets (2) on bottom leg reinforced with Kevlar® on all 4 sides 
• Tool Pocket with Section Kevlar Tool Compartments in Right bellow pockets
• Replaceable or sewn-on black Arashield® knees with optional search pockets
• External Class II Harness Loops 

Ricochet: A Trusted Partner of the United States Air Force
Ricochet was initially awarded the contract with the U.S. Air Force in 2017 to serve as the sole manufacturer for firefighting structural/turnout gear and firefighting proximity gear for all Air Force agencies worldwide. Ricochet worked closely with the leadership of the USAF fire Service to bring the specifications for structural fire gear to a new level of performance by upgrading the shell, thermal and moisture barrier materials and by adding elements to the design to provide both increased flexibility and improved protection. After a competitive bidding process in 2022, Ricochet was selected as the sole provider of structural firefighting gear through 2027.
